What's Hot ... Veganuary

Launched in the UK in January 2014, Veganuary is a non-profit organisation that encourages people to try vegan for January and beyond. Veganuary is focused on changing consumer behaviours and attitudes, while providing all the information and practical support required to make the transition to veganism as easy and as enjoyable as possible through the month. Since the campaign started, more than 500,000 people have registered to try vegan, although data suggests that ten times more people actually participate and try vegan in January each year.

How You Can Get Involved

Veganuary is the ideal opportunity post-Christmas to create a one month campaign activation and focus on your vegan range. Last year, more than 500 businesses took part in Veganuary, with most experiencing an increase in sales throughout the month. Veganuary is an incredible marketing tool that can help you successfully launch new vegan products as well as sell more of your existing vegan range!

New Products – Launch new vegan products in your store. In January 2019, more than 200 new products and menu items were launched, and with the Veganuary buzz it’s the perfect time for a successful launch.

Promotions – Promotions on feature space to entice new vegans to try easy transition products like vegan cheese, milk and meat replacements – the key starter products for new vegans.

Veganuary Store Tour – Show customers how to shop vegan and where to find your vegan ranges in-store. One quarter of shoppers, or 12.77 million Brits, say shop layouts make shopping for meat free products difficult – let’s change this!

Sampling – Organise with brands to support in-store vegan product samplings.

Events – Host an event inviting media and influencers to promote your vegan products and get feedback on what people think!

POS & Window Displays – Use the Veganuary logo and assets on your point of sale and in window displays.

Social Media – follow @Veganuary on Facebook and Twitter and @WeAreVeganuary on Instagram or create your own content and posts using #Veganuary. Why not host a Veganuary themed competition on your social channels.

Website – add the Veganuary logo to your website to show you’re taking part in the campaign and link to veganuary.com

Email – give your email subscribers Veganuary-themed special offers and giveaway competitions. With so many companies offering special vegan offers in January, you don’t want to miss out!
